Hi all!
So I’m by no means a developer or anything close to an expert in this kind of thing, but I’ve put together a really simple / functioning lead generation website using Elementor and Astra themes.
I’m now in the process of doing a once over of final checks / optimisation. Wordfence is on there, Updraft is installed, and although I’ve manually been optimising for SEO as I’ve been putting the site together, I have Yoast on there as a second pair of SEO eyes etc etc.
My question is this…what would you guys advise to do with regards to tidying up all of the things that a site like GTmetrix highlights? I’m already scoring an A, but I can see that the LCP needs reducing, and obviously there’s a whole load of JS bloat that comes with the theme. Is it just a case of going through the report item by item? Can anyone help with this?
Any advice would be great! Sorry if that’s a bit of a ramble.
Peace and love x

Why do I feel like seo is the biggest selling farce in internet today.?
You optimize your site by adding clean images with alt descriptions, researched search words in your article titles and subtitles. Good load time! Keep content concise to and keep adding new content. Inactivity is a real killer.
Use plug ins, but Limit them where u can as that will help performance.
Move your DNS to cloudflare. It will dramatically improve speed load times.
if it’s still not loading fast enough, try a plugin called ‘perfmatters’. It will allow you to disable scripts on pages where they are unnecessary (eg, payment scripts on the homepage, scripts intended for blog posts in the checkout process, etc)
