Looking for a solution for adding members-only content to a WP site. I’m aware of Memberpress, and have used it a little, but wonder if anyone has any other recommendations.
There’s no commercial aspect to the content – so no ecommerce facility required – it’s mostly resources for 100 or so volunteers to be able to access. Barely any of the content is sensitive, but there is some that would better behind a login.

SureMembers is new but is another option.
Why use a member plugin at all? Do all users have equal access to all content? You could make it a standalone site and use something like Registed Users Only to lock out the public. Then give all the users a roll of None (or Subscriber; I can’t remember which).
