No the whole point is that the plugin uses and IDP for authentication and not WordPress. There is a facility that links an IDP identity with a WordPress identity but there is never any “password sync” as that would put the IDP account security at risk.
The intent of the plugin is to be authenticating with the IDP and not WordPress directly.
