People unable to view WordPress.com site?

Hi folks, I just set up a humble little website on [wordpress.com]) for a friend’s hobby business. She called me today saying someone complained that they couldn’t get to it, and that she couldn’t get it on her phone. They were getting a message saying the site didn’t exist. I was unable to reproduce the problem on any browser even after clearing cache. She was able to access the site on her phone when she put the http in front. I do recall having an issue like this with a [Wordpress.com]) site before. Does anyone have any insite into this?
