Hi, hoping anybody can offer me a personalized solution to the fatal error that I got after being dumb and trying to update my WordPress after not logging in for about a year. I made this website in college for a class and I used it for my personal blog and portfolio site so a lot of work went into it. Before you ask, no I didn’t back it up because I didn’t know how and I didn’t think to. I will reiterate that I am a silly dumb girl who knows very little about websites and I don’t understand a lot of what the help forums are suggesting 🙁 I tried to go into my site files (I did figure out how to do that) and deleted all my plugins but that didn’t help at all. I found the error messages and they’re somehow related to overloading the site capacity but I don’t know how to fix that. Please please please help I’d even consider paying somebody to fix it if I didn’t totally screw it up beyond repair :,(

Edit: I uploaded a picture of the site readout and the error log I found in my site files.

contact the hosting provider and ask them to increase the storage capacity first of all
Post the full error
Well. Deleting those plugins did not get you closer to restoring your site. Disabling it, perhaps. Depending on your hosting, a good thing would be you getting in touch with hosting company support and ask them to revert to a backup before you started the updates. Most solid hosting providers keep their backups and provide them, sometimes for a small fee. Could be as simple as that. Reconstructing the website without the backup is harder and can take even several hours, depending on plugins used, first step would be making a backup of the database, otherwise proceeding is dangerous. Try the hosting company first and feel free to message me if you need help. WordPress makes my living, but sometimes I do pro bono work. Good luck!
Pull your wp-content folder and db and back it up. Download and replace the older version of the wp core. Replace the wp content with your backup.
Without seeing the exact error or the site that’s about as much help as I can give with what you’ve provided.
Also check to see if there are any other zip files that can be downloaded and removed from your server. Those could be backups which have piled up over time.
Message me if you need more specific help.
