Plugin not working when using Borlabs Cookie

[ad_1]

Hi @feg3,

Thank you for your message. I am sorry you have encountered a problem with our plugin. Do not worry, I will try to help you.

I want to see what might have gone wrong. Could you send me a screenshot of the Help Center tab in the plugin’s settings. I will check it because in this tab I have an information about the status of your website.

Best, Mateusz

@feg3 Thank you!

Why are you using Pass Thru as the image loading mode instead of the default setting?

I got an error message about the server configuration (I’m using a server from the hosting service Mittwald) when using the standard .htaccess mode so I changed it because that helped with other projects in the past.

@feg3 What error did you get?

It’s a german site so the message is german aswell:

Wende dich in diesem Fall bitte an deinen Serveradministrator.

Fehlercodes: rewrites_not_executed”

I understand @feg3,

Have you contacted your hosting support as stated in the error message? There are ready instructions on what to do.

I haven’t yet, since using the other mode has always worked in the past.
So you’re saying that the loading mode is the source of the issue and it shouldn’t conflict with the cookie plugin if I get the .htaccess method to work?

@feg3 Pass Thru mode is not perfect. It is slower and may cause some problems with various other plugins.

The default mode is by far the best and it is worth reconfiguring the server so that this mode can function properly. Then everything will work much better and faster.

I contacted the support of the hoster (raidboxes, not mittwald. That was my mistake earlier).
They told me they can’t change the server configuration and have a WebP support already, but it needs to have a webp version of an image and then automatically replaces it.

I understand @feg3 – it’s very strange. Most hosting providers allow you to add your own rules to the Nginx server. It’s a pity that this hosting has such limitations.

Unfortunately, I cannot help you in this situation. If the server does not meet the plugin’s technical requirements, its operation is limited. We are unable to overcome certain limitations.
