Post-transition URLs | WordPress.org

[ad_1]

I’m in the midst of a transition from .com to .org, and I’ve run into a crazy problem. The URLs of my old posts, of which there were many, transferred over without a hitch. But if I go back to an old post in which I linked to an earlier post, the link adds the date of the post, which gives me a different URL and an error message.

For instance, take a look at this post from May, which I originally wrote at .com and now have at .org:

If you go to “Update 2,” you’ll find that the phrase “working to unravel” links to another post that I wrote. It gives you this URL:

Globe editor Nancy Barnes tells her staff she’s working to unravel the MBTA fiasco

The date shouldn’t be there, and was apparently added during the transition. You get an error message if you click. But if you simply delete the date, it works fine.

As far as I can tell, this only happens with internal links. Are there any global steps I can take to solve this problem?

Thank you!
