Premium questions after v2.4 update

[ad_1]

Hi @jimithing007!

Thanks for your post and and your questions!

For more details on this, please see https://tablepress.org/upgrade-extensions/. These changes will come into effect with the release of TablePress 3, currently scheduled for the 4th quarter of this year (most likely November).

So, I recommend upgrading before that, just to be safe. And of course, you’ll already benefit from all the improvements of the premium versions then.

And no worries about potential re-configuration: Everything will continue to work just as before. 🙂 The premium versions use the same settings, so nothing has to be re-configured (except for deactivating the separate Extension plugins and turning on the respective feature modules once).

I hope this helps! For any follow-up questions, please also feel free to get in touch via email, which you can find near the bottom of https://tablepress.org/pricing/

Best wishes,
Tobias

Tobias,

Thanks as always for your help and quick responses. That all sounds good. I think what we’ll do is we deactivate those extensions for now and see if we can live without them before we proceed with the upgrade. So I understand correctly – we just need to have those extensions “Deactivated” to avoid any issues, right? I was planning on deactivating them to test, but I didn’t want to outright delete them just yet.

Hi,

Good to hear that this helps!

Yes, if you deactivate these Extension plugins, you won’t see any issues (but will of course lose those features). You can even leave their configuration (i.e. Shortcode parameters) in place, they will simply be ignored, until you either reactivate the Extension or upgrade to a TablePress premium version.

Best wishes,
Tobias
