I’ve asked this before and didn’t really get many strong answers. As a paranoid person the worry has resurfaced lately so I thought I’d ask again and see what people say.
I host a wordpress blog on my private home server. My wife and I have a very adventurous sex life, and I use the blog to host pictures, videos, and to talk about our latest escapades.
What worries me is how integrated WordPress seems to be with social media, and in places has me concerned about exactly what information is being communicated with the WordPress servers and what will never go further than 192.168.blah.blah
Thumbnails for images maybe? Article breadcrumbs? Article titles? What information gets communicated with the wordpress servers on my private blog?
How about cookies? Might the information get stored in there and then accessed later by other websites?
Yes, very paranoid, sure, mock me. But in this day and age I think it’s a reasonable question for such sensitive content.

Use a proper plugin to block traffic that doesn’t have a password and it’s np
Use a plugin to block users who doesn’t have password and it’s np. And sure don’t install RankMath or something else that could potentially add open graph images, that sounds reasonable
Private home server, so wordpress.org and not hosted at wordpress.com?
org can’t share with wordpress servers. Not without you making it do that.
If you use jetpack etc, different story but then again why would you?
