Thank you for reaching out! If you’re referring to the “Commission Registered” email notification that is sent by SliceWP when a new commission is created for a referred order, then yes, this email is sent when the commission is created, which happens when the referred order is created.
Currently, I’m afraid that I cannot offer you a solution, as we cannot change, even via custom code, when this notification is sent.
Even so, I have added your thoughts to our development log for future consideration.
