Purchased a theme with an outdated plugin-in, seller is NOT responsive. Can you edit the list of required plug-ins to remove it? It is just a google map plug-in.

Solved. Found the file, not sure if theme specific but it was listed in file called actions-config.php in the themes sub-folder

  1. What theme and what plug-in?

I’m not sure what you mean by “edit the list”.

  2. I think OP means some themes have required plugins that you can’t disable. But I’ve never seen a required plugin that wasn’t a theme builder. What theme is it? Why is google map required?

  3. You can. Check the functions.php of the theme, for required parameters. Update it via there, buy the plug-in yourself or swap it out for a different one.

  4. A theme having *required* plugins should be a red-flag. I understand giving prebuilt layouts for a specific builder…but that’s a lot different than required. It’s only content. Required implies “must have to function” – which means the theme is crap from top to bottom.
