Pushed Staging to Prod but backups incorrect

Hi,

In Staging I turned on backups. I then pushed Staging to Production. Production then inherits settings from Staging to schedule backups. Now we have two sets of backups. If I push again however Production now sees the backups from Staging in the listing (it doesn’t see any backups it made since the last push). This is very confusing so is there a recommended strategy for this type of scenario of staging AND backups?
