Query Loop ignoring WPML primary language on homepage

Hi,

I’ve got a translated website with 2 homepages, let’s say:

The German homepage is the original version, the English homepage is its direct translation. There’s a Query Loop on the homepage, that fails to filter by language on the German version, only. The Query Loop shows all posts there, no matter if German or English. It should show only the German posts.

For the English homepage, the exact same Query Loop shows only the English posts. This is the intended behavior.

I’ve updated all plugins, update the page and clear caches, but with no success. Need some guidance on how to debug or what to look after to get this solved.
