So I’m having some performance issues and my host says there’s some IP addresses that have been trying to access my site. They provided a list of them but stated that I should check them out first.
How do I do that and then determine if I should block them.

By looking at your logs and seeing what URLs they are accessing. Eg Anyone who doesn’t need access to the WP dashboard should not be accessing /wp-admin/ or wp-login.php.
Wordfence makes this simple.
Do you have any caching on your WordPress? A few visitors shouldn’t max out your CPU (information taken from your other post) unless you’re not using any caching (in that case yeah, 1-2 visitors might crash things)
