In March 2022 I created a site for a client: [alderneyceramicdesign.com](http://alderneyceramicdesign.com)
It was made using WordPress and hosted on Hostgator.
They later decided they didn’t want the site, so without changing anything on WordPress or Hostgator, I just let the GoDaddy domain expire.
From then the page showed this 403 error ([https://ibb.co/HHqBn2K](https://ibb.co/HHqBn2K))
This week I deleted the site from this page on Hostgator: [https://ibb.co/pjccxMt](https://ibb.co/pjccxMt)
Later this week (as if!), the client messaged me, they want the site now…
So my question is prior to me deleting the site from this page on Hostgator, would the WordPress site information still be there behind the 403 page? And if so, can I restore a backup?
Thanks so much!!

Depends on the host. How long was your hosting subscription? Most will delete your files once the money stops coming in. How long was the domain registered for?
