Question with domain name

Hi there! Last year I bought a domain from Antagonist and hosted a very simple website (which at the time was just a little side project). Recently I switched to hosting directly at WordPress and converted the domain name -which I really want to keep- to WordPress.

Now I am met with an issue. I have the websitename.com and the websitename.wordpress.com. of course I want to use the websitename.com as the main one. But I can not seem to get it working, despite the name being in my possesion and visible in my WordPress account.
