Redirection for primary category changes seems to be incomplete

[ad_1]

My current permalink structure is /%category%/%postname%/

Redirects work as expected when I edit a post slug with changes in words/characters.

However, when I change the primary category for a post from category A to category B from within the post edit screen, it doesn’t redirect from the old URL to the new URL — so I end up with two URLs showing different primary categories in the URL.

I’m using the Redirection plugin with URL Monitor turned on for:

* Monitor changes to posts
* Monitor changes to pages
* Monitor changes to landing pages
* Monitor changes to my templates
* Monitor changes to trash

Is this normal behaviour? And is there a way to setup a redirect template so that all articles with the old category in the slug now point to the URL with the new category in the slug? Thanks in advance!
