Removing Image When Sharing Your WordPress Site (and/or Post) Link on Social Media w/o Plugins

[ad_1]

I need some help. Does anyone know how to remove the image that’s automatically shared when you post the link to your WordPress site and/or blog posts on social media w/o upgrading to the creator plan in order to install plugins (which I cannot afford at this time)? The instructions that I found on WordPress are no longer valid because the options they instruct you to change are not found in the Media Settings, and there are no Share Settings anymore on the dashboard.

I am not a programmer, so I’m hoping that someone has a simple solution to this problem. I did post on the WordPress help forums, but I haven’t received any response. Please help!

  1. I believe this is the [plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/opengraph/) you’re looking for. Not sure how to do it without plugins but I think you should be able to get in on the plan you have.

Using WordPress.com isn’t recommended around here so you should look to using WordPress.org if you can.

If you can’t get it working share some screenshots and let me know if you need anything else.
