Reoccurring issue with error log size

[ad_1]

Hello WP folks!

I run a network of sites that are in the scheme of things, have a decent sized following. Maybe 250k-500k readers across the sites per weekday.

One thing that has been a consistant issue is running into performance issues and uptime when the error logs fill up and we run low on server space.

I know a) we should clear them with some regularity (I don’t think I have access to do that) and b) try to eliminate some of the errors (which we’ve done, but with so many sites and plugins…it seems to always be an issue).

I was wondering if there was some type of best practice or suggestion we could look at to not run into this with the frequency we do.

Appreciate any help here!

  1. Get a bigger server? Why are your error logs “filling up”? They should be rotating.
