Replacing a wordpress site with a non wp site

[ad_1]

I’m working on a site which is built and needs to be published now which will replace an older site. The older site is built on wordpress. The hosting also is using 2-3 other domains as well. In the past I have worked with hosting which handles a single domain so in that instance would just remove the wordpress installation and upload the new files and it would work.

With multiple domains on a single hosting would that still work? I just want to delete the main domain and replace it with custom files not hosted on wordpress. And would also like to keep the existing files for the other domains as well.

What is the best way to do this? Would removing the wordpress installation for the main domain work in this case? Just want to be sure so as to not delete anything else. Thank you.

  1. Are the other domains completely different sites? Sounds like it. They are probably all pointing to separate folders one the host. Backup everything before you do anything else and then just clear out the folder you need the new site in.
