Hello,
would you be more specific about which mandatory fields? The default WooCommerce mandatory fields like “country”, “phone”, or the mandatory fields added by the WooCommerce Field Manager plugin like “SDI”, “Nome della societa”, or the mandatory fields added by the FooEvents plugin like “participant first name”, “participant email”?
The Multi-Step Checkout plugin free version doesn’t modify anything about the validation of the mandatory fields, so theoretically no validation rule should be removed by simply using the Multi-Step Checkout plugin.
By “continue with the payment” do you mean that the user is allowed to get to the last step (“Payment”) or do you mean that the user is allowed to click on the “Continua su PayPal” button on the last step?
Hello and thanks for the reply, the mandatory fields of woocommerce, even trivially country and phone. I also deactivated WooCommerce Field Manage but nothing, in the end the problem remains with Multi-Step Checkout and woocommerce (updated). I also have a clean test virtual machine and it gives me the same error, mandatory fields are left empty but you can continue and pay without filling them in
e.
Could you give me a link to the development website where the Multi-Step Checkout plugin is activated?
I’m sorry but the virtual machine is local, I’ll activate the plugin until 5.30 pm then I have to deactivate it, try the production one, ok?
Right now, when clicking the “Continua su PayPal” button I am presented with all the errors for the mandatory fields. See this screenshot. The users cannot pay without filling the mandatory fields.
but shouldn’t the error give it before switching to paypal? before the second page?
For that you’ll need to enable the “Validate the fields during each step” option on the “WP Admin -> WooCommerce -> Multi-Step Checkout” page.
