My kid has just moved their blog over from Wix to a free plan on wordpress dot com. They’ve chosen a very basic and old theme (Twenty Eleven!!) because they like the simplicity of it. I don’t know if that’s why we’re having this particular issue…
I have a WP blog and website and thought I might be some help getting him set up, but gawd it has changed so much since I used to use it all the time. Not enjoying the Block Editor and Customizer AT ALL.
Anyway – he is trying to add YouTube and Instagram social media icons to the sidebar – but even with the display setting in the social icons block turned to ‘Huge’ they appear absolutely tiny on the site. (It’s [https://thehobartaviationfan.wordpress.com]) if you want to look. Can anyone suggest a fix for this?
I’m sure there used to be a workaround with social media buttons that you could just upload an image to the sidebar instead and have that click through to whatever link you wanted, but I’m stuffed if I can work out how to do that either.
