Safe to wipe endurance-page-cache?

[ad_1]

I had tried to run a WordFence scan the other day and it timed out, so I checked the log. The site in question is a 5-pager with no blog and comments disabled. There’s a gallery with 100 or so images. That’s it. And yet, when scanning, Wordfence found over 600,000 files.

I use HostGator to host the site and of course all their WordPress installs come with Endurance pre-loaded. So I tried flushing the cache — multiple times — and yet the problem persists. So I checked in the File Manager, and sure enough, there’s still an insane number of folders and files in the wp-content/endurance-page-cache folder. I have to presume these are what are causing the scanner to hang up. I have Endurance disabled right now, but is it safe to delete all these files, in case I decide to re-enable later?
