I have a few years experience with wordpress, but something that ive never really explored is scheduling posts.
I saw that you get a publish date option when updating a site, so can i use that to schedule the update of an already published post? i just dont want to go ahead and do it if it doesnt work.
All of your help is much appreciated. if this works, it will save me a lot of stressing 🤣

I have bad news and good news for you.
First bad news: WordPress doesn’t offer built-in functionality to schedule updates to already published posts. The publish date option you see is for scheduling new posts to go live at a future date.
And now good news 🙂 You can achieve very similar outcome with the following plugin: Revisions with PublishPress Revisions Plugin (Free Version Available – [https://wordpress.org/plugins/revisionary/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/revisionary/)).
With this approach, you can update your current post with revised content and then set a schedule for its publication at a designated time.
Here’s what you’ll need:
–
Install and activate “PublishPress Revisions” plugin
– Edit your existing post and make the necessary changes.
– In the Publish meta box (on the right side of the editing screen), you’ll see a “PublishPress Revisions” section. Click the “Edit” link next to “Publish on approval”
– Set the date and time you want the update to be published
– Click “OK” and then “Approve” to schedule the revision
I hope this will work for you.
