did a change to my old 2015 theme by using plugins that copy website to new theme (astra), tried a few different ones at first … site is much faster now …. but there are other problems….
Now my GSC is a mess with tons of errors etc in the image attached …. and my serp ranking have tanked , but there was also a big google update in June…. so im not sure if it was that or the theme change or both…..
should I just start from scratch and do a new website with no template copy over? this looks messy right now…. is it affecting the serps? thanks….
It’s not necessarily a problem to have these things come up in the page indexing report. But I would say the sudden jump in number of pages excluded by a noindex tag could be where your problem is. Have you accidentally added noindex tags to pages that should be indexed? In which case, that could be the source of your rankings issue.
Hard to know much else without knowing more about the changes you made.
Check if search engines are discouraged under Settings > Reading. Uncheck it if so.
