Server goes to MySQL 8, UpDraft loops on testing mysqldump

[ad_1]

Since my hosting company went to MySQL 8, backups requiring mysqldump (large tables in database) fail. Log file keeps cycling through during database backup phase saying:

Testing potential mysqldump binary: /usr/bin/mysqldump

…as the last thing in the log file.

Seemingly forever, it loops during each iteration with:

1518.148 (5) Resuming creation of database dump (WordPress DB)
1518.150 (5) SQL compatibility mode is: NO_ZERO_IN_DATE,ERROR_FOR_DIVISION_BY_ZERO,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION
1518.153 (5) Testing potential mysqldump binary: /usr/bin/mysqldump
