Setting up two rotating groups of ads in ad inserter pro

This feature is supported also in free Ad Inserter, so I’m answering here. But remote debugging doesn’t seem to to be enabled:

Please note that each page load is independent and basically ads are inserted randomly. So you can’t specify what exactly will be shown with the next page load. You can, however, once the choice for the rotation group has been made (group activation), have all ads on the page from this group:

But the ads on the next page load will still depend only on the active group (random).

Thanks for replying. I’m aware of the documentation. It’s not doing anything for me.

I’ll try and explain it differently:

I have ads from two advertisers.

I only want ads from one advertiser to show up at a time on each page.

What am I doing wrong, please?

Many issues. Your rotation code is wrong. You don’t have a block for group activation – remove group activation shortcodes (and share values) from blocks with ads.

Configure one block with this code for group activation, set insertion to Above header (to get this position you need to enable Output buffering):

[ADINSERTER group="1"]

[ADINSERTER ROTATE]

[ADINSERTER group="2"]

BTW you don’t have to specify share values if you need equal shares. For group rotation shares should only be defined in the block for group actvation.
