Thanks for reaching out and bringing this to our attention. It seems that there is indeed a scenario in which the homepage check is not working as intended.
We’ll have this fixed in the next release.
To answer your question, yes, if the condition is not met it should not be loaded on those pages.
Alternatively, before the update, you can use Hide if Page URL is not and paste your homepage URL. That’s a strict check and will work in a similar way.
