In my practice page, the site logo block worked perfectly. Then I created what is to be my actual page and added some posts, deciding to worry about the headers and footers later. When I got to the header, the Site Logo block does not work. Even though my Site Icon has replaced the WordPress logo at Upper Left corner, the Site Logo block just displays a blank square, which does nothing when clicked upon.
If I place the Site Logo block within a Post content, it allows me to upload an image, even though the Site Icon has already been set in General Settings. When the image is uploaded, the Site Logo Block behaves normally, in the Post Content, and I set it as Site Icon also. But the Site Logo block still does not work in the Header pattern, nor the Footer pattern, and I assume also in any other template.
I set the Site Icon exactly like I did it in the practice site, where it works. The only difference is, in the practice site, I set up the site icon first, before adding any content or editing any templates, while in the actual site, I added content first.
I have cleared my browser cache, and my hosting services cache. I have restarted the computer and reloaded the sites. Nothing works.
Can you please help me to track this down? I really seriously need the Site Logo block to behave as it does in the practice site, which displays the site icon and allows links. Thanks.
