I have a domain registered with godaddy and am trying to host via bluehost and use wordpress. I’ve changed the nameservers on godaddy to direct to blue host but now bluehost is prompting me to complete transfer of my domain (which I don’t want to do).

What do I need to do in order to use [wordpress.org]) with bluehost? I’m outsourcing the building of my website but need to get this step completed first. Thank you in advance.

This is why it’s best to ask for advice ***BEFORE*** you part with any money, both of these companies are horrible.
Anyway, I think bluehost have an automated WP set-up, if so you can use that, otherwise just upload the files to the webspace then run through the set-up process.
Don’t change your nameservers from GoDaddy, rather set the A record on their name server (DNS) to point to the IP that you have been assigned by Bluehost. If that is gibberish, find someone who understands DNS (it isn’t hard) and ask for 5 minutes of their help.
It can take 24-48 hours for nameserver changes to take place.
GoDaddy & BlueHost…. wow, name a worst combination.
