Styles and Template Issues | WordPress.org

[ad_1]

The main page no longer contains links; what used to be links to open the event view are now buttons. This was a change to improve accessibility, but it does come with some style changes that I couldn’t prevent.

The {title} I’m unsure about; are you using a custom template for either that text field? (Settings > Text > “Read more text” or for the grid popup? I can’t reproduce it, but there may be some variable I’m not aware of.

Thanks Joe.

Regarding the buttons, I can not seem to alter the styles? I am sure that I am purging cache etc, but any changes I make in the theme from the design editor do not seem to have any effect. How can I change the text color of the button as well as the cursor/pointer?

Regarding the {title}, this is what is entered in to the “Read more text” input: “{title} about {title}”. I do not recall entering this, can I safely remove?

You can definitely remove {title} about {title}; though that *should* work, and does in my testing.

Regarding the design editor: the changes show dynamically after you change things, but they don’t take effect until you save – did you save your changes after editing?

You can always make changes using custom CSS; e.g., Appearance > Customizer > Additional CSS, or you can add custom stylesheets.

I assume in the Designer I will want to change “–nav-button-color” for the button text?

If so, this does not seem to change the color in the preview nor when I click save.

Ah, no – that’s for buttons in the navigation. There are no settings for the default colors of event triggers; those are mostly controlled through category colors.

Thanks again, I was able to get everything as desired through your suggestions and adding a couple custom style declarations. We are happy with My Calendar for years now and are going to purchase a pro license for support.
