Successful website migration with Duplicator Pro: preventing common issues

[ad_1]

Update question: “I intended to use it as a template for duplicating content from one site to another. However, I encounter problems occasionally. Could these issues arise from using the same domain and then creating a new subdomain for each duplication?”

When attempting to migrate a website using Duplicator Pro, I’ve encountered persistent problems. Typically, the original site from which the backup was created suffers in one of two ways: it either gets completely wiped and begins redirecting to the new domain, or its appearance is severely altered. My goal is simply to create a duplicate of the site on a new domain without affecting the original.

I’ve considered deactivating all plugins and themes before migration, suspecting they might be the root of the issue. Despite trying various strategies, success has eluded me.

Could anyone provide guidance on how to achieve a smooth migration without impacting the original site? Any advice or steps to follow would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.
