TLDR: Can WordPress support a custom user experience per website member?

I have a small web dev company and I have currently been using SquareSpace for my smaller clients as it is faster and easier than doing something custom from scratch. However, I have a photography client right now that wants to have their clients be able to log onto their website and view their personal folder with their pictures. Is this something that can be done with WordPress without outrageous costs, or do I need to do something custom for them? If it is possible, can someone tell me how to do this? I have not used WordPress before.
