Switching from WordPress (WooCommerce) to Shopify with the same domain name

[ad_1]

Hello,

I’m a total beginner when it comes to website building and I recently bought web hosting and a domain name from SiteGround and set up my website using WordPress. Unfortunately, I found it too hard to use and customize, so I want to delete my website and start fresh on Shopify.

However, I’m not sure how to go about this without losing my domain name. I want to keep the same domain name and simply redirect it to my new Shopify store. Can anyone guide me through this process or recommend any resources that can help?

Also, I’m worried about the data I provided to WordPress and its plugins. Is there a way to delete all my information and ensure that it’s completely wiped from their servers?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can provide. I really appreciate it!

  1. Man don’t take the easy way out. Honestly, stick with it for a couple of weeks, I promise things will come together.
You need to understand that Just Payment Gateways, such as stripe, the percentage they charge can go up to 11-13% with the various addons.
ON TOP OF THAT, SHOPIFY, Shaves off a couple of % points on each sale you make.
Profit Margins are very thin across the board.
You are setting yourself up for failure by going the Shopify way because other people that built their with WordPress, can offer cheaper prices and the world loves to save and cheap.
Also You and a zillion people will have the same cookie cutter look and feel of a site.
With WordPress and leveraging a Slider plugin, you can have some WOW factor site without needing to know how to write code

I will be honest with you, when I first started WordPress, I gave up after 2 minutes and I was like F that, I will pay someone to do it.
Then 3 weeks later, I tried again and I was also like F that, I am giving up, This happened several times, until I started using my brain and now I have built some very nice websites I never though a big dummy like me can accomplish it.
Watch a couple of YouTube videos, use a theme that works with Elementor, but the Elementor pro add on at a minimum.
Start doing and I promise you in just 1 month, you will be light years ahead of where you started.
