We have a post in WordPress that is quite long and we continually have issues with it freezing when saving. It’s also very slow. Can WordPress handle long pages? The page is all text. WordPress and the plug-ins are up to date. Cloning the post usually helps but then we find we have lost some changes before the clone. Does anyone know what to do? It’s costing our company a lot of extra labor hours.

We can only assume without know what post is it and which plugins, did it happen today or related to network or hosting issue?
Other things to ensure your images aren’t giant size.
If your site aren’t ready to launch, we always suggest working on local machine using LocalWP to avoid unwanted downtime.
Try increasing the memory limit in wp-config.
A few quick questions…
– who are you hosting with?
– using a cdn?
– type of hosting (shared or otherwise)
– have you tried gtmetrix or similar to see what’s maybe delaying the load time/s?
– If it’s text heavy, have you considered AMP?
– PHP version?
– WordPress version?
– How long has this been happening?
