I work for a nonprofit that’s seriously considering hiring someone to redesign our WP site. We currently have a bunch of charts on pages that are static images we update in Excel, screenshot, and upload. Not ideal.
We’ve also as a team spent some time learning how to use Tableau for other purposes. Embedding a Tableau dashboard is pretty straightforward, but I’m not seeing a good way to do so that actually looks good, is responsive, etc.
We’re not looking to build an alternative ourselves, I just want to be able to provide specs to a pro in an informed way. But we do want to be able to update everything in the dashboards every three months or so quickly and easily, and Tableau does handle this nicely.
Two questions:
1. Do any of you have experience working or seeing Tableau dashboards integrated *well* into a WP site aesthetically, accessibly, and practically?
2. Do any of you have alternative dashboard and charting solutions that have a comparable or better degree of visual customization and that can be updated all at once by uploading a spreadsheet (or even better monitoring a spreadsheet or similar on a cloud service)?
