Please, never share your backup files publicly. In this case, it’s not an issue as you shared localhost URL – which no-one can access until they know your IP address and you don’t have any firewall setup.

Backups may contain sensitive information about you and your website, which can be dangerous for your website (unless it’s test website).

As you mentioned and shared “localhost” website:
In such cases, URL based migration/restoration won’t work as the website where you’re trying to restore simply can’t see localhost website (same as others).

Simplified: localhost can be accessed only by your local machine.
In such cases, you need to download and upload your backup manually.

I highly recommend you to use new version of WP Clone: where this process is very simple and quick.

Please, let me know if it works for you with “Backup Migration” plugin, this plugin also has much more advanced logging, which will help us to debug it easier in case of error (open topic in backup migration forum in such case).
