Currently, you’re using the block checkout, which doesn’t support all the features of our plugin. You can check it out here: our documentation.
Option 1: Integrate Block Express PayPal Buttons
- Go to the plugin settings.
- Locate the ‘Smart Button Locations’ section.
- Choose the “Block Express Checkout” and “Block Cart” buttons from the list.
- The PayPal Payment Express Button should be visible at the top of your checkout page.

Option 2: Change the checkout page to regular / default – which guarantees compatibility with all features of our plugin.
- Go to the “Edit page”.
- Click on the three horizontal dots in the right corner.
- Choose “Code editor”.
- Remove any existing code.
- Enter
[woocommerce_checkout]

We’re currently working on making all payment methods available with block checkouts. However, we’re facing some limitations with customizing the “Place Order” button in block checkout right now. We plan to enhance PayPal Payments with smart buttons and hosted card fields as soon as these customizations become possible.
PayPal’s use of custom iframe buttons for payment processing is unique among payment providers, which presents unique challenges for us. We’re committed to improving this as soon as we can.
