Title appearing in body of front page

I just took over this site (created by someone else) and found on the home page a large white space with large black lettering appearing just above the footer columns and below the featured page columns. It appears to be tied to a page labeled “Front Page,” which seems to require something filled in as a title, hence the text. Moving that page to draft does not remove the white space and text from the home page. I can add things to that white space, but I can’t shrink it in size, eliminate the “title” text, or even adjust the size of the title text. I’m just unclear how that white space fits into the theme (I can’t see it mentioned in the help video or documentation) and how to control it any better (or just get rid of it). Thanks for any help that can be offered.
