Transfer posts from one site to another (with images included)?

Hi,

How is it possible to export articles from one website to another? I know there is the export feature on WordPress, but this doesn’t transfer the images and featured image. There is a plugin that I found called ‘Export media with selected content’ that promises to do this, but it failed. Does anyone know how to properly export content with all included media as well?

  1. WP All Import is great for migrations if you need more flexibility. It offers a great way to export posts with their thumbnails and media.

    Is your URL staying the same? You could just move all the files in the wp-content/uploads folder to your new server.

    If the URL is different, you’d need to run a search/replace plugin after doing the migration.
