Hi there,
TLDR; Is there really no way to control page-by-page (post-by-post, product-by-product), when this content goes live? This is perhaps similar to how pages can be in “Draft”, “Review” or “Published” status. In that terminology, I would like to keep a page in non-published-status for a specific language (not necessarily all languages!) until \*I\* decide to publish that page in that specific language, because I am satisfied with the extend and quality of its translation.
Background: I have a site that I would like to translate to several languages. To begin with, I’m am translating from Danish to English and the quality of available automatic translations (even DeepL) are poor at best. So manual translation is the way to go, but the site is too large to translate everything in one go.
Problem: It seems that once I add English as an alternative language to the TranslatePress-config, all pages/products/posts go immediately live in “English” even though nothing is translated yet.
Now, I am aware of the option to disable all “English” content for that exact scenario, but that doesn’t solve the problem that I would like to go live with certain pages as soon as they are translated.
I am also aware of the “Exclude Paths From Translation” option, but that disables all languages and also the translation interface for that URL, so this feature seems to be for content that I really never want to translate.
Any good ideas for this situation?
