Trepidation in implementing woo commerce on my custom theme

[ad_1]

I created a custom theme for a customer’s single-page business card site a while back, but now they have asked for woo commerce to be added so they can sell products directly from their site.

I don’t have a great deal of experience with WordPress, and specifically WordPress security. Obviously this wasn’t too much of an issue with a simple business card site (the customer doesn’t even have a login to it). It currently has Wordfence installed, and I keep it and WordPress itself up to date. Plugins are very minimal, basically just WPForms and Smash Balloon.

What additional security measures would people suggest for adding woocommerce to ensure that customer details are kept secure? I will of course have to add a user account for the client, so I’ll be adding 2FA to their account. Hosting is also with a reputable company so I’m not too concerned about that. Perhaps this along with Wordfence is sufficient?

Many thanks
