Unable to connect the plugin to the Twitter App

[ad_1]

Hi @ericbourges,

You can use any public Twitter account to gain a Twitter access token. Of course, you must be logged into that Twitter account (be it yours or your clients’). If the Twitter account is private and/or you do not have login credentials, or you disagree with the prompt settings, these things can adversely affect gaining an access token.

You do not need your client’s Twitter account credentials to display their account (as long as their Twitter account is public). You would however, need their login credentials, if you are trying to use their account to gain an access token.

Great, thank you!
I had stayed on the old version which had required, at one point, to go through a Twitter App
It works now

Hi @ericbourges,

Great! Glad to hear you are up and running again. There have been a few Twitter issues recently, mostly with their recent changes & pending changes to their own Twitter API. And yes, we have updated our Feed Them Social plugin as well and are seeing a couple of hiccups that we are working through. Although, at this time, Twitter does appear to be working as it should. We appreciate your patience and for letting us know about your issue. We are happy that it’s been resolved.

Cheers,
