Unistall is leaving pages that Google is trying to index

[ad_1]

Hello,
Normally Google doesn’t just “forget” about a URL on your website just because it no longer exists (a 404 page). In fact, if you were to delete your entire website from your web-server right now, Google would still have all your links indexed, even if they are now 404s.

To fix this, you can use the “Redirection” plugin and create a permanent (301) redirection of those URLs to your homepage. Or, follow the instructions here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7041154?hl=en&ref_topic=9164606

I understand. Thank you for the explanation! And thanks for the great plug-in!
