Website has been up for 4 years no issues and moved 3 times to other hosting services. After most recent update the favicon has reverted to what the template creator had put in as a place holder. The icon is 512×512
Things I have tried :
I renamed it to favicon.png
Set the icon again in wordpress and cleared the cache.
Deleted the original and uploaded again
Still shows the template favicon instead of the one I had replaced.
How can I fix this ?
Any tips appreciated
