In version 7.8.0, there were no changes to translation management. The plugin has always included translations and will automatically remove any translations downloaded from WordPress.org. This behavior is due to the method mollieDeleteWPTranslationFiles() that runs upon plugin activation.
To prevent your custom translations from being removed, please ensure they are placed in the /wp-content/plugins/mollie-payments-for-woocommerce/languages directory rather than /wp-content/languages/plugins. This will ensure that your custom translations are preserved.
