Hi Guys, I think I messed up. I am working on friends site and I chatted with some upwork developers and provided wordpress admin creds. Now the site is showing a critical error. Is there anything I can do for this? I am pretty nervous about it.

Why do you think it’s a scam? They probably just messed something up, have you talked to them about the error?
Just try logging in with the administrator credentials, this might have been caused by a plugin they installed.
There is nothing to be gained by breaking your site. Phishing scam on front-page, yes, but critical error, no. The developer has broken something,and it can probably only be fixed via hosting panel. You need to talk to him asap.
