Hi, I just found this plugin in the repository and it seems excellent. My question is about using it in a website with staging and production environments.
I use a different WP statistics plugin on some sites. That one stores the data in 8 or 10 different tables in the database. In a hosting setup like WPEngine, I can exclude specific tables when I copy the site up or down between environments. With 10 different tables to deselect each time, it is a bit of a pain, but it works. With other hosting companies like Dreamhost, the copying is an all or nothing copy in terms of the database, so I cannot use that plugin there. (Any data collected on the production site between copying down and copying back up is overwritten.)
What are your recommendations in this regard with Independent Analytics? How would the copying up and down work? How is the data stored in the database, and how is it effected when I copy up and down?
