Users not logged in see blank twenty-twenty-two theme homepage…even though twenty-twenty-two was removed.

EDIT: Fixed, issue was removed cache plugin had a php file still causing the page to get cached. Removed that file from the wp-content and it started working.

Site is showing the default homepage for the twenty-twenty-two theme, even though I have my own homepage set in the settings, and don’t even have twenty-twenty-two theme installed. This only happens if you are not logged in. If the user is logged in they see our normal homepage.

It’s not cache on local device because I’ve flushed and used different devices. There are ZERO plug-ins installed. I tried installing twenty-twenty-two theme back on and had no change. I’ve also tried making my homepage another page and does not work either.

I made my ‘contact’ page my homepage in the settings. When I go to that page I see this:

I am using Astra theme, but as mentioned I’ve tried changing themes.

This is super frustrating as our site can’t go live. Any tips?

  1. Can you share a link? It really sounds like a caching issue. Are you sure you don’t have a must-use or drop-in plugin running? They might not show up in the plugin list.
