Want to launch a WordPress Site Redesign… But there’s so much we also want to keep

We want to redesign the main part of our WordPress site, but there are many aspects we want to keep. We have Mailpoet plugins and other plugins – for which, we don’t want to lose emails, databases, etc…

Is there any way to launch a redesign of WordPress, where we leave the current site the same, while we work on the redesign…. but we don’t completely switch to a completely new installation, and lose all the other moving parts (plugins, users, etc)?

Ideally, there’s a way to do this… and when we’re ready, we click a button to switch to the new site, without having to start fresh, migrating databases, etc…

Any thoughts on this?
